Dear Parents of Gan Hayeled Graduates,

As a parent of two children who attended the Gan, I can appreciate the mix of emotions that graduation from the Gan brings.  This transition is both an exciting time and an anxiety provoking one. Some of you will send your children to Jewish day school and some of you will be interested in a congregational school program.  I want to take this opportunity to invite you to come meet with me if you have any questions or if I can be helpful in providing you guidance as you make important decisions about your child’s Jewish education.   You also have an open invitation to visit our Religious School this spring on a Sunday morning to get a taste and feel for our program.  You can join us for one of our signature programs for Pre-K through 2nd grade students and parents called Shacharit Live (morning service), which is a weekly musical service that takes place in the Kogod Chapel at 9:30 am on Sunday mornings.  It has a Shabbat Sing feel and is a great way to experience our religious school community and to meet other parents and our outstanding teaching staff.  Registration for religious school begins right after Passover.

If your child will be going to a Jewish Day School, we can discuss ways to ensure that you and your child continue to feel connected to the Adas Israel Community even if you are not in the building every day.  Our education office is not just for Religious School families but we have developed many programs for day school families including youth groups, Shabbat programming, and more.

Good luck during this transition and have a great Passover,

Josh Bender
