Staff Meeting Lunches and Welcome Back Breakfast:  monthly

  • Chair: Molly Levinson
  • All volunteer positions filled.
  • The GPA provides the staff with lunches for their monthly meetings.  We also offer our staff a Welcome Back breakfast to kick off the school year.  The co-chairs coordinate the food for the events.

Bagels and Coffee: Nov 9, Feb 15

  • Chair: Traci Reisner
  • All volunteer positions filled.
  • Twice each year we gather to socialize in the GanSpace lounge.  It’s a great way to start a morning. Younger siblings are welcome.  The chair orders the bagels and coffee and helps set up and clean up.  This even takes minimal effort and can be done mostly from home or an office.

Staff Appreciation Luncheon:

  • Co-chairs: Catherine Brown, Jodi Blecker, Leora Klapper 
  • All volunteer positions filled.
  • Each year, our wonderful Gan staff is honored at a special luncheon held at the synagogue.  It is an elegant, catered lunch which both teachers and parents enjoy.  This event is very special to our teachers and it means so much to them to have the parents from their class attend.  It is also a wonderful way to reflect on your child’s year at the Gan.  The co-chairs organize the lunch, collect RSVPs, order the teacher gifts, and order the food.

Siyyum - Graduation Lunch:  June 2

  • Co-chair: Leora Klapper
  • Have 1 co-chair, need 1 co-chair and 2 volunteers
  • Gan families with graduating children gather for a meal and slide show of the graduates.  It’s a beautiful event, rich with warmth and tradition.  The co-chairs organize the event, collect RSVPs, order the children’s gifts, and order the food.

Summer Picnic: July 2013

  • Co-chair: Carina Veksler
  • Need 1 co-chairs and 2 volunteers
  • Every summer, the GPA hosts a picnic for all Gan families.  It’s a great way before school starts for families to get to connect and reconnect.  The co-chairs reserve the site, order food and crafts, and set up the event.
