MARTHA’S TABLE BRIGADE: October 14-15
On October 14 and 15, we are collecting food to donate to Martha's Table. MT uses these food donations to feed more than 300 homeless men and women each night. We invite all Gan families to participate, but this food brigade is particularly the responsibility of the Rimonim and Squares classes. Martha's Table priority is donations of fresh fruit to distribute to the homeless. Please donate any type of fruit, EXCEPT APPLES (too hard for many homeless). MT will happily accept, among others, cartons of clementines, bunches of bananas, packs of pears, or boxes of berries. Martha's Table also seeks donations of three specific grocery items for its neighborhood pantry: cans of tuna, 16 oz bags of rice, and boxes of non-sugary cereals, such as Cheerios, Kix, Rice Krispies, and Corn Flakes. MT also welcomes donations of sandwiches. Please feel free to donate loaves of either cheese sandwiches (2 slices, no spreads) or jelly & sunflower butter sandwiches. Please use whole wheat bread. Place each sandwich in a small Ziploc bag and then place all the sandwiches back in the original bag for the loaf of bread. On October 14 and 15, please place all food donations in the box labeled, "Martha's Table," in front of Becki's office during school hours. Please contact Yael Luttwak (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Shiri Wolf (email@example.com). Thank you very much for your help w/this important Tzedakah program.
PICTURE ART: October 21-22
Click here to download an order form.
Picture Art is coming up on October 21st and 22nd with amazing photographer Tony. For those of you who are new to the Gan, Picture Art is an adorable photo of your child(ren) which can be crafted into fun items like key chains, magnets, pencil holders, greeting cards, black and white or color photographs. The photos make great gifts and keepsakes for your family and friends. Don’t forget Chanukah is right around the corner this year. Picture Art is also one of the most popular and successful fund raisers for the GPA. You should already have received a flier in your Gan tote bag with information and pricing. If your child is a student at the Gan they will be scheduled for an appointment during school hours after you submit your completed form with a check payable to the GPA to Becki's office. If you want siblings pictured together or your children do not attend the Gan please contact Erin Davis Etter to schedule an appointment. You must sign up no later than October 15th for both current students and sibling appointments.
