MARTHA’S TABLE: November 18-19
On November 19th and 20th, we are collecting food to donate to Martha's Table. MT uses these food donations to feed more than 300 homeless men and women each night. Martha's Table priority is donations of fresh fruit to distribute to the homeless. Please donate any type of fruit, EXCEPT APPLES (too hard for many homeless). MT will happily accept, among others, cartons of clementines, bunches of bananas, packs of pears, or boxes of berries. Martha's Table also seeks donations of three specific grocery items for its neighborhood pantry: cans of tuna, 16 oz bags of rice, and boxes of non-sugary cereals, such as Cheerios, Kix, Rice Krispies, and Corn Flakes. MT also welcomes donations of sandwiches. Please feel free to donate loaves of either cheese sandwiches (2 slices, no spreads) or jelly & sunflower butter sandwiches. Please use whole wheat bread. Place each sandwich in a small Ziploc bag and then place all the sandwiches back in the original bag for the loaf of bread.
Please place all food donations in the box labeled, "Martha's Table," in front of Becki's office during school hours. Questions? Please contact Roger Nehrer or Erin Segal. Thank you very much for your help with this important Tzedakah program.
